Who am I, and who on earth are you?  ….. When you meet me you will hopefully find out more about both as one of my major interests in life is how we all interact and manage our lives.  I have spent over 30 years in the field of leadership and teambuilding, and have the joy of working in this field where I can continue to share the experiences that I have accrued, whilst of course continuing to learn on the way.

I feel tremendously lucky enough to be happy with myself and the life I have chosen to live, and my enthusiasm is to share that with the folk I meet on the way. I am therefore delighted to find myself as an adventure coach working in the field of leadership and life training, and have been doing so ever since leaving a varied, and happy, career as an Officer in the Royal Marines.

My time in that Naval Service took me from the extremes of the Arctic to the desert and jungle.  One of my main specialities was training.  I was an Arctic and Jungle instructor, instructed Officers and Men at the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines in Devon, and Army Officers whilst on attachment to the Army Infantry Training Centre in Wiltshire.   I also led men and women in challenging, and demanding, situations on active duty in Bosnia and the Middle East.

I see this new direction as an natural extension of that time, in mind as well as body.  I thrive in taking people of all walks of life, and experiences, to a new, and exciting, place through the medium of adventure and challenge, sometimes physically, but more importantly mentally.

To enhance my interest in how people work and live in the best way, I became a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming and am finishing a degree in Psychology with the Open University.  I have used these skills to assist those who have suffered with Post Traumatic Stress, and aim to continue that work alongside my new roles.  I am also a Member of the Chartered management and City and Guilds Institute.

On the sporting front I represented the Royal Navy at Fencing, Biathlon and Orienteering.  I still do those sports when I can, together with many other outdoor activities, usually up a mountain, on or under the water.  I am chasing my Yachtmaster offshore sailing qualification and am already a dinghy instructor and BSAC sports diver.  I qualified as a Nordic Ski Instructor with BASI, having spent four years living and working in Norway, learning the language and enjoying the mountains.

Life is for living and sharing, and I take a delight in assisting others to feel the enthusiasm and joy for life that I have had the good fortune to experience.
